Customs Entry Streamlined at Bush Airport
Do you regularly travel abroad in your role as an employee, patient, student or guest in the Texas Medical Center?
If so, the TMC’s International Affairs Advisory Council encourages you to register for the Global Entry program, offered by the U.S. Customs and Border Protection Service. The program provides expedited service for five years upon arrival in the United States to pre-approved, low-risk travelers at selected airports, including Houston’s George Bush Intercontinental Airport.
In the customs area, program participants proceed to Global Entry kiosks, present their passport or U.S. permanent resident card, place their fingertips on the scanner for fingerprint verification, and make a customs declaration.
Travelers must be pre-approved and all applicants undergo a rigorous background check and interview before enrollment. Learn more and register online at www.globalentry.gov.
For your convenience, interviews with the U.S. Customs and Border Protection Service will be conducted on site in the Texas Medical Center if 12 travelers have registered online by May 31.
To schedule an interview in the Texas Medical Center after registering for the program, contact Laura Jordan at firstname.lastname@example.org, (713) 795-1236.
