Tee It Up With TIRR To Honor Alan Ytterberg

“Tee It Up With TIRR,” benefitting TIRR Foundation’s Mission Connect will launch from the greens of Houston’s Wildcat Golf Club October 8.

“This is the 13th year for this event and I cannot think of a more important cause than brain and spinal cord injury research,” said event Co-Chair Bob MacIntyre. “TIRR Foundation has raised more than $19 million to fund the collaborative research of the scientists and researchers of Mission Connect. What’s even more amazing is that those dollars are leveraged 20 to one by scientists who apply for grants and other assistance.”

TIRR Foundation, based in Houston, created and directs Mission Connect, one of the nation’s only collaborative research programs where scientists, physicians, researchers, and engineers from multiple institutions work together to develop solutions addressing traumatic brain and spinal cord injury..

“Tee It Up With TIRR” will honor Houston attorney Alan Ytterberg, a member of the TIRR Foundation Board of Directors since 2005.

“Alan has been a tireless supporter of TIRR Foundation for the past 20 years,” said MacIntyre. “Honoring him during our annual golf tournament makes the event that much more memorable.”

Entries for the event begin at $1,200 for a foursome and $300 for individual players. Entry includes 18 holes of play, golf cart and lunch. Tee off will begin at 11:30 a.m.

Sponsorship and underwriting for the event is currently available and entry to the tournament can be purchased at TIRRFoundation.org or by calling Elizabeth Proctor at 713-705-0304.
